This conference showcases oral and poster presentations on research done by Concordia undergraduates; cash prizes are awarded for the best presentations.

Undergraduate students in the Department of Biology have excellent opportunities to carry out individualized, original research projects in the laboratory of an externally-funded research group under the supervision of a faculty member. This work allows students to determine their interest and suitability for graduate studies — it also provides them with an opportunity to gain a reference letter from a faculty member who knows them well and who has observed then in a research environment.
The Independent Research course (BIOL 490, 6 credits) spans two terms. This course is required by each of the three Honours programs and can be taken for biology elective credits by students in a specialization program who meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement.
