  • Promoter structure - what proteins visit our promoters and from where do they come?
  • Transcription start sites, lrp binding
  • Regulation of cell division in bacteria
  • Why does a deficiency in S-adenosylmethionine interrupt cell division- has anyone longer filaments than we do?
  • Development of a new antibiotic
  • Identify a new reaction in cell division, inhibit it, and find a new antibiotic
  • Using photosynthetic bacteria as a source of food
  • Fermenting used automobile tires. Automobile tires are piling up and polluting our environment- could we ferment them to useful products?
